The Cowshed - Draydon Cottages

The Cowshed at Draydon Cottages stands 1,000 feet above sea level with views over the Barle Valley towards Exmoor. Dulverton is 3 miles away, and that is also the distance to the nearest shop and pub. The beach is 20 miles off, and the Exmoor Pony Centre is less than half a mile away.

This is a single-storey conversion of a former cowshed, with an open-plan living area that keeps its original stone pillars under a vaulted ceiling. The kitchen has an electric hob and oven, a microwave, a dishwasher and a fridge and freezer. The living area has a TV and DVD player and an electric fire that imitates a wood burner. A welcome tray is provided. The water supply is private.

There are two bedrooms: a king-size with its own en-suite shower room and a twin. A family bathroom with a bath and a WC completes the layout. A travel cot and highchair can be provided.

Outside, a small south-facing veranda at the front has seating, and guests may use the communal garden. Parking for two cars is in a private gated courtyard at the front.

Up to four dogs are welcome, with additional charges possibly applying. The cowshed suits two couples, or a family of four that wants Exmoor trails from the doorstep and room for the dog.
