The Barnhouse

The Barnhouse is in Middlezoy on the Somerset Levels, near Othery, and it sleeps eight. A private door from the lane opens onto a hallway with a snug on one side and a lounge with a Smart TV on the other. A downstairs WC sits off the hall. At the back, an open-plan kitchen and living area spans the width of the house, with a central island and a view of the garden. The kitchen was renovated in 2026 and has an electric oven and hob, a dishwasher and a fridge/freezer. A narrow door leads to a utility room with a washing machine and a tumble dryer.

Upstairs are four bedrooms: a king-size with an en-suite shower room, two doubles, and a fourth bedroom that can be made up as a twin on request. The family bathroom has a shower over the bath and a WC.

Bi-fold doors from the living space open onto a lawned garden with a patio and furniture. Parking for three cars is on the driveway, with more space in the lane and the village. A CCTV camera covers the gate and entry point. The pub is 10 metres away, the shop is within half a mile and the beach is 15 miles away.

Dogs are not allowed. Check-in is from 4pm and departure is before 10am. The house suits a family or two couples who want separate living rooms, with a snug as well as the open-plan space, and a pub on the doorstep.
