Sharpenton Lodge

Sharpenton Lodge stands on 8 acres of fields and farmland at the edge of Moorlinch, near Othery, with a covered upstairs balcony looking over the Somerset Levels. It sleeps 8 across four bedrooms: three doubles, one of which is a family room with a cot, and a twin. Moorlinch has a 12th-century church and a family pub, and the pub is within walking distance. The shop is 2 miles away and the nearest beach is 13 miles.

The kitchen, dining table and lounge share one open-plan room, and doors lead out to a patio and deck. Cooking kit includes an induction hob, double oven, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave and washing machine. Two double bedrooms are on the ground floor, both with patio doors onto a covered decked walkway, along with a bathroom that has a shower over the bath. Upstairs, the master bedroom has a TV and the balcony door, a twin room sits alongside, and a shower room has a large walk-in double shower.

Outside, children get a lawn and there is an enclosed patio with a BBQ and seating. Swing ball and badminton are available, and a lockable shed keeps bikes secure. Parking is off-road and ample. A highchair and cot are available, and bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are included. Underfloor heating is electric, and stays between October and May carry a surcharge payable directly to the owner. No dogs are allowed. It suits a family or a group of up to eight who want two bedrooms on the ground floor and two upstairs.
