Starling Lodge

Starling Lodge takes up to 6 guests across three bedrooms, on family bookings only. It is one of four identical lodges, a mile outside the village of Wedmore. Upstairs is a king-size room with its own en-suite shower. Downstairs are a second king-size room and a children's bunk room, sharing a shower room with a basin and WC. The bunks are for children, so the two king-size rooms are the adult beds.

The open-plan living area has a kitchen, a dining table, a sofa and a Smart TV with Freeview. Bi-folding doors bring in the light, and the patio has furniture and a private hot tub. The views run over the Somerset hills to Glastonbury Tor, and on the far side of the garden fence are Percy, Albert and Jeffrey the alpacas and the miniature ponies Minnie and Dottie.

Appliances include an electric oven and hob, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer, a washer/dryer and a dishwasher, and the lodge has underfloor heating and WiFi. A travel cot and highchair can be supplied. Bed linen, towels, fuel and power are included in the rent, and a good-housekeeping bond is payable.

Two cars can park off-road, and the new fast-charging electric car port at the property is paid for through an app. Access is through the owner's quiet camp field. Check-in is from 4pm, check-out by 10am, and neither pets nor smoking are allowed. A shop is 2 miles away and a pub 1.4 miles. Starling Lodge can be booked together with Owl Lodge, Ref. 1100431, to sleep 12. It suits a family of up to six who will arrive by car.
