Orchard Farm Wedmore - Fox Whelp

Fox Whelp sleeps four in two bedrooms, a king with a door to the garden and a twin, and both share the one shower room with WC. It is a converted stone barn at Orchard Farm in Middle Stoughton, near Wedmore.

Doors from the lounge and from the king bedroom lead to a private terrace, and the enclosed cottage-style garden holds the hot tub. A second private terrace with seating lies at the front, reached through French doors in the lounge. Guests may also walk down through the mature orchard to the stream. A barbecue is available, and the farm has a pop-up shop selling homemade cider, eggs and ales.

Inside, you come into an open-plan kitchen/diner overlooking the courtyard, with exposed beams and some bare stone walls. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, a microwave, a fridge with an ice compartment, a washing machine and a dishwasher. The lounge beyond has a woodburner (the first basket of logs is included, more can be bought from the owner) and a TV with a firestick. Bed linen, towels, hot tub towels and dressing gowns are provided.

One dog is welcome, and additional charges may apply. Arrival is from 16:00 and departure before 10:00. There is one parking space 50 yards from the barn along a level path, electric vehicle charging is available on site, and shops and pubs are two miles away.

It suits a family of four, or two couples, who want a hot tub and an enclosed garden.
