Heron Lodge Castle Farm

Heron Lodge at Castle Farm is one of four identical lodges, about a mile from Wedmore, with views over the Somerset levels towards Glastonbury Tor. It is let to family bookings only and sleeps 6. A sheltered patio with outdoor furniture holds its own private hot tub.

Inside, bi-folding doors brighten an open-plan kitchen, dining and sitting area with underfloor heating, a Smart TV with Freeview and WiFi. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer, a washer/dryer and a dishwasher. A travel cot and a highchair are on offer.

The upstairs bedroom is a king-size with an en-suite shower room. Downstairs are a second king-size room and a bunk room for children, with a ground-floor shower room between them. Adults will use the king-size rooms.

There is room for two cars off-road, and a fast-charging electric car port at the property is payable via an app. The way in is through the owner's quiet camp field. A shop and a pub are both 1 mile away. Bed linen, towels, fuel and power are included, a good-housekeeping bond is payable, and neither pets nor smoking are allowed. The owners keep a Sea Harrier jump jet that guests may sit in, and alpacas and miniature horses live on the other side of the garden fence. Heron Lodge suits a family of up to six, or a party of 12 when booked together with Swan Lodge.
