South Hill

South Hill is a single-storey cottage in Bleadon, one of a complex of properties. The pub and the shop are 1.5 miles away, and the beach is 3.5 miles. It sleeps four, in two double bedrooms at opposite ends of the cottage.

The hallway leads to a large open-plan lounge, kitchen and dining area, with high ceilings and exposed beams and a door out to the patio. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, a microwave and a fridge. Each double bedroom has a TV, and the wet room, with a shower and WC, is off the hallway between them.

Outside, a south-facing patio is enclosed and has seating. Beyond it a shared grassy area with picnic tables sits beside a large duck pond, with views of cider orchards, the Mendip Hills and paddocks where miniature Shetland ponies graze. Off-road parking takes two cars. A welcome pack is waiting on arrival. A farm shop nearby sells local produce, and golf and fishing are available in the village.

Children under 16 are not accepted, including babies and toddlers. Stag and hen parties are not permitted, and dogs are not allowed. Arrival is from 16:00 and departure before 10:00.

It suits two couples, or friends travelling together as guests aged 16 and over, who want a single-storey base in a rural setting.
