Acorn

Acorn is a single-storey, studio-style holiday home in the grounds of Slade Barn, a short distance from the village of Bleadon at the foot of the Mendip Hills AONB. Kitchen, dining area and sleeping space share one room, built around a woodburning stove, with one bed. The shower room has a walk-in shower, a basin and a WC.

Heating comes from electric underfloor heating as well as the stove, and the starter pack for the stove is included in the rent along with fuel, power, bed linen and towels. The small kitchen area has a microwave and oven, a hob, a kettle, a toaster and a fridge with an ice box, and there is a breakfast bar. A TV and WiFi are provided.

Outside, a front patio has furniture, and the property has its own wood-fired hot tub. You park off the road. Pets and smoking are not allowed, and a bond is payable. The nearest shop is 1.8 miles away and the Queens Arms is 1.2 miles. Weston-super-Mare railway station is 4 miles off. A footpath to the river is about a mile away, and walking is available on the Mendip Way.

It suits a couple who want a compact one-room retreat with a hot tub and a stove.
