Russet Lodge

Russet Lodge is in the countryside at Coxbridge, 5.4 miles from Glastonbury. It is single-storey and sleeps six in three bedrooms: a king-size, a twin and a cabin-style double bed that is reached by ladders and steps, so take care with it. Bed linen is Egyptian cotton.

The open-plan living space combines the kitchen, a dining area and a sitting area with a woodburning stove, and fuel, power and a starter pack for the stove are included. The kitchen has an oven, a hob, a microwave and a fridge, and a selection of games is provided. The owner also stocks some homemade ready meals. The shower room is outside the lodge: a few steps away, it holds a walk-in shower with a handheld head, a heated towel rail, a basin and a WC. There is one shower room, so with six guests plan around that.

The private front garden has gravel, lawn, a barbecue, sheltered decking and furniture. Two well-behaved dogs are welcome. Parking is off-road, and a highchair and a travel cot are available on request. The shop is 1.4 miles away, the pub 2.2 miles and the river 0.5 miles.

Stays are for two, three or four nights only, and ask before booking if your dates include the Glastonbury weekend. Smoking is not allowed. It suits a family or group of friends with up to two dogs who are happy with one shower room. The lodge can also be booked together with its three neighbours for up to 24 guests.
