Pippin Lodge

Pippin Lodge stands in the countryside at Coxbridge, with Glastonbury the nearby town. It is one of four lodges on the same site and has the added detail of EV charging, which suits guests arriving in an electric car. The layout is single-storey, with three bedrooms for up to six guests.

The bedrooms are a king-size, a twin and a double cabin bed set up a ladder, which suits children. The cabin-style double is reached by steps, so take care. Beds are made up with Egyptian cotton linen. A shower room stands outside the main building, a few steps from the door, with a walk-in shower and handheld head, a basin, a heated towel rail and a WC.

The living area is open plan. A woodburning stove warms the sitting area, with fuel, power and a starter pack included, and the kitchen has an oven, hob, microwave and fridge. Games are provided, and the owner stocks homemade ready meals for evenings when nobody wants to cook. A highchair and travel cot can be requested.

Outside, a private front garden of gravel and lawn has sheltered decking, furniture and a cast iron barbecue, and two well-behaved dogs are welcome. Parking is off-road. Stays are two, three or four nights, the Glastonbury weekend needs checking before you book, and smoking is not allowed. It suits a family of up to six with a car to charge and a dog or two.
