Coxbridge lodge for six, three or four night stays

Bramley Lodge takes bookings of three or four nights only, and anyone eyeing the Glastonbury weekend should ask before booking. It is a single-storey lodge in the countryside at Coxbridge, 5.4 miles from Glastonbury, and it sleeps six.

The garden does much of the work here: a private front garden of lawn and gravel with a barbecue, sheltered decking and furniture, where up to two well-behaved dogs are allowed. The shop is 1.4 miles away, the pub 2.2 miles and the river 0.5 miles. Parking is off the road.

Indoors, the open-plan room has a woodburning stove, a dining area and a kitchen with an oven, hob, microwave, fridge, kettle and toaster. Fuel, power and a starter pack for the stove are in the rent, along with bed linen and towels. Games are provided, the owner stocks homemade ready-to-heat meals, and a highchair and travel cot can be requested.

Beds are a king-size room, a twin room and a cabin-style double bed up a set of ladders, reached by steps, so take care with it. The single shower room is outside, a few steps from the lodge, with a walk-in shower, a handheld shower, a heated towel rail, a basin and a WC. Smoking is not allowed. The lodge suits a family with children who can manage the cabin bed's ladders, and a dog or two. All four lodges on the site can be booked together, sleeping up to 24.
