Plum Log Cabin

Dogs are well provided for at Plum Log Cabin: the garden is fully enclosed, there is a dog shower on site, and two dogs are welcome, with additional charges possibly applying. The cabin is a Scandinavian log cabin at Buckland St Mary, near Chard, in 130 acres of valley, woodland and sheep pasture, four miles off the A303. Taunton can be reached by car.

The master bedroom has a king-size bed and an en-suite shower room. The second is a king-size zip-and-link that can be set up as two singles if asked for at booking. The small third room has a 3ft bunk bed for two children or one adult, so a party of six means two children in the bunks and no more than four adults. The family bathroom has a shower over the bath.

Sliding doors from floor to ceiling link the open-plan lounge, kitchen and dining area to an enclosed veranda, and the table seats six. Appliances are an induction hob, electric oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and a washer/dryer. Smart TVs are in the lounge and both king-size bedrooms, and a travel cot and highchair are available.

Out in the garden there is a picnic table and a charcoal barbecue. Parking is private, for two cars. Shops are 8.5 miles away and two pubs are within three miles. The site is non-smoking, has a private water supply and CCTV at the main gate, and allows supermarket deliveries between 10am and 6pm. Arrival is from 16:00 and departure before 10:00.

Best for a family or two couples bringing dogs, with the bunk room kept for children or one adult.
