Cherry Log Cabin

Six people fit in Cherry Log Cabin across three bedrooms: a king-size with an en-suite shower room, a king-size zip-and-link that can be made into twin beds on request, and a small room with a 3ft bunk bed for two children or one adult. A full house of six therefore means no more than four adults. The other bathroom has a shower over the bath.

The cabin stands in the Blackdown Hills at Buckland St Mary, near Chard, on a 130-acre site four miles from the A303. Taunton is within reach by car, the Jurassic Coast towns of Lyme Regis, Seaton and Sidmouth are 19 to 22.5 miles off, and the nearest shops are 8.5 miles away, with two pubs within three miles.

Floor-to-ceiling sliding patio doors in the lounge open onto an enclosed veranda, and the dining table seats six. The kitchen has an induction hob, electric oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and a washer/dryer. Smart TVs are in the lounge and both king-size bedrooms. A travel cot and highchair are available.

The fully enclosed garden has a picnic table and a charcoal barbecue, and an on-site dog shower rinses off muddy paws. Two dogs are welcome, and additional charges may apply. Parking is private, for two cars. The site is non-smoking, has a private water supply, and CCTV runs at the main entrance gate. Supermarket deliveries are accepted between 10am and 6pm. Arrival is from 16:00 and departure before 10:00.

It suits two couples with a dog, or a family of up to six with the two youngest in the bunks.
