Orchard Farm Wedmore - Russet

Russet is a stone barn conversion at Orchard Farm in Middle Stoughton, two miles from Wedmore. Exposed ceiling beams and some bare stone walls were kept in the conversion. You come in through the kitchen/diner, and a few steps lead down from there to the lounge, which has a woodburner, a Smart TV with a firestick and French doors onto a small terrace.

Cooking is covered by an electric oven and hob, a microwave, a fridge/freezer, a dishwasher and a washing machine. The one bedroom has a double bed, a TV and an en-suite shower room with WC. Bed linen is included, and the barn sleeps two.

The terrace belongs to the barn and has its own seating, but it sits within a courtyard shared with the other properties on the farm. Beyond it, a couple of acres of grounds include a mature orchard running down to a stream, which guests are welcome to explore. A barbecue is available, and a pop-up farm shop on site sells homemade cider, eggs, ales and other local produce.

Parking is for one car, 50 yards from the barn along a level path. Electric vehicle charging is available on the farm. Shops and pubs are two miles away. One dog is welcome, with additional charges. Arrival is from 16:00 and departure is before 10:00.

It suits a couple, with or without a dog, who want a woodburner and an orchard to walk in.
