Orchard Farm Wedmore - Hangy - Down

The open-plan lounge, kitchen and diner at Hangy Down looks out over the farm's mature orchard, and that whole room is on one level. The barn is a stone conversion at Orchard Farm in Middle Stoughton, near Wedmore, with exposed ceiling beams, some bare stone walls and a TV with a firestick for Smart TV use.

The double bedroom looks over the orchard too, and has its own TV and an en-suite shower room with WC. The kitchen end has an electric oven and hob, a microwave, a fridge/freezer, a dishwasher and a washing machine. Bed linen is included, and the barn sleeps two.

French doors from the lounge open onto a sunny terrace with garden furniture, with shared lawns and seating alongside. The orchard lies directly in front of the patio and runs down to a stream, and guests are welcome to use it. A barbecue is available, and a pop-up farm shop on the farm sells homemade cider, eggs, ales and other local produce. The barn is one of several properties on the farm.

Guests arrive from 16:00 and leave before 10:00. One dog is welcome, and additional charges may apply. Parking for one car is 50 yards from the barn along a level path, electric vehicle charging is available on site, and the nearest shops and pubs are two miles off.

It suits a couple who want an orchard on the doorstep and a living room and kitchen on one level.
