Northdown Cottage

Northdown Cottage is in the village of Churchinford, near Taunton, with Wellington a short drive away. It is for two adults: no babies or children are accepted, and dogs are not allowed either. The one bedroom is a king-size on the first floor with its own Smart TV, and the shower room has a shower and WC.

Downstairs, a large lounge has comfortable sofas, a gas fire and a 4k Smart TV. It leads through to a well-fitted kitchen with an electric oven, gas hob, fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher and microwave.

A door from the kitchen opens onto a small patio with seating that catches the morning sun. There is also a lawn at the front and another to the rear with more seating, which get the afternoon and evening sun. A barbecue is provided, and country walks start from the doorstep. The pub and the community shop are under a mile away, about a 15-minute walk, and the beach is 20 miles off.

The only bedroom is on the first floor, so every night involves stairs. Check-in is from 16:00 and check-out is before 10:00. It suits a couple who want walks from the door and a quiet place to come back to.
