Morgan Lodge

Morgan Lodge is a detached lodge on the owners' smallholding at the edge of Hewish, looking over a coarse fishing lake and 6.5 miles from Weston-super-Mare. Every room is on the ground floor, although several steps lead up to the front entrance. A hallway opens into a living area with the kitchen, a dining area with breakfast bar, and a sitting area with an electric fire. Patio doors lead onto a decked balcony with furniture.

Six guests are spread over three bedrooms: a king-size double with its own TV and en-suite shower, a twin, and a second twin with 2ft 6in beds. The other two bedrooms share a bathroom with a bath and shower over. The kitchen has an electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer and dishwasher, and there are two TVs with Freeview and WiFi. Fuel and power, bed linen and towels are included in the rent.

The lake is not fenced, so children need watching at all times. Off-road parking takes 2 cars. Pets and smoking are not allowed, and the lodge does not take bookings from groups of workers or single-sex groups. A shop is 2 miles away and a cafe or restaurant 100 metres away.

It suits a family of six, or three couples, who want every bedroom on one level and a fishing lake outside the window.
