Bramley Lodge

This lodge overlooks a coarse fishing lake on the owners' smallholding, on the edge of Hewish, and Weston-super-Mare is 6.5 miles away. It is one of four lodges on a 65-acre site, which together sleep 24. The lake beside the lodge is unfenced, so children must be supervised at all times.

The living area is open plan, with a kitchen, dining table and a sitting area with an electric fire. The sitting area opens onto a decked balcony with furniture, where you can watch the sun go down over the water. The kitchen has an electric oven and a gas hob, a microwave, a fridge/freezer, a dishwasher and a washer/dryer, and there are two TVs with Freeview and WiFi.

Three bedrooms share the ground floor: a king-size with its own TV and an en-suite shower, a twin, and a second twin whose beds measure 2ft 6in. The bathroom has a bath with a shower over. Gas central heating warms the lodge, and fuel, power, bed linen and towels are included in the rent. The nearest shop is 2 miles away, while a cafe/restaurant is 100m away. Two cars can park off the road.

Pets are not allowed, smoking is not permitted, single-sex groups are not accepted, and the lodge does not take bookings for groups of workers. Although every room is on the ground floor, the lodge is not suitable for guests with limited mobility.

It suits a family or a group of friends who want everyone on one level beside the water.
