Single-storey barn for 2 with an en-suite wet room, over-16s only

Mendip Barn is a one-bedroom barn conversion at Bleadon, built for two guests and part of a complex of properties. Everything is on a single storey, and the double bedroom has its own en-suite wet room with a shower and WC.

The living room, kitchen and dining area run together as one open-plan space beneath high ceilings and exposed beams. Cooking is by electric oven and hob, with a microwave and a fridge, and there is a TV. A welcome pack awaits on arrival, and the nearby farm shop sells local produce.

The patio is private, enclosed and south-facing, with seating. Past it, picnic tables stand on a shared grassy area beside a large duck pond, with cider orchards, the Mendip Hills and paddocks of miniature Shetland ponies in view. Parking is off-road for two cars. The pub and shop are 1.5 miles away and the beach is 3.5 miles.

Guests must be 16 or over, and babes in arms and toddlers are not accepted. Stag and hen parties are not permitted. No dogs are allowed. Arrival is from 16:00 and departure before 10:00.

It suits a couple who want a break without children and who are leaving the dog at home.
