Little Barn Draydon

Little Barn is a detached barn on a single floor, with a king-size bedroom that looks over the River Barle and the valley around it. The barn lies within a Dark Sky Reserve, with red deer grazing in the neighbouring woods and Exmoor ponies in the fields next door. Dulverton, 3 miles away, has the nearest shop and pub, and the beach is 20 miles off.

The kitchen, lounge and dining area share a panelled room. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, a combination microwave, a fridge with a small freezer compartment, a dishwasher and a coffee machine, and a washing machine stands in the hallway. A wood-burner-effect electric fire warms the lounge. The king-size bedroom has a Freeview TV and looks over the river, and the bathroom has a shower over the bath. Night storage heaters provide the heating. Bathrobes, slippers and toiletries are supplied, with a welcome gift on arrival, and there are plenty of books and a DVD player. The water comes from a spring.

A small open patio with a table and chairs is directly outside, and a private enclosed garden lies across the car park, with a communal garden also open to guests. The parking space is immediately outside. Guests who need to charge an electric car pay the owner a fee on arrival.

Two dogs are welcome, and additional charges may apply. It suits a couple who want a quiet barn with a river view, with or without a dog.
