Lane Cottage

Lane Cottage stands in a small square in the middle of Dulverton, with the town's craft shops, galleries and tearooms close by. Beams and flagstone flooring survive inside, and the ceilings are low, so tall guests need to mind their heads, as is usual in a building of this age.

The living space is built around a large inglenook fireplace holding a wood burner, and the first basket of logs is supplied. There is a Smart TV, a window seat for reading and antique-style furniture. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, a fridge/freezer, a microwave and a washer/dryer. Cottage-style stairs lead to the double bedroom, which has a vaulted ceiling, exposed beams and stone walls. The stairs are not suitable for the infirm. The shower room, with a walk-in shower and a WC, looks out over gardens.

Outside is a gravel garden with a table and chairs. The cottage is reached along a narrow lane, and the private off-road parking is for 1 car only. Arrival is from 4pm and departure is before 10am.

One dog is welcome, and additional charges may apply. Wi-Fi is available, and the Smart TV sits in the lounge. It suits a couple who want a traditional cottage in town and travel with one car.
