Lime Kiln

Lime Kiln is a detached, purpose-built pod on a working farm, a few miles from Blagdon. Everything is on one level: a single double bedroom with an en-suite shower, and an open-plan room that holds the kitchen, a dining table and a sitting area with a woodburning stove.

The hot tub is heated by logs. The kitchen is compact, with a 2-ring hob, a kettle and a cool box, and there is a picnic bench outside as well as a veranda with a bench. The pod has no mains electric and no 3-pin plug sockets, so power comes through USB instead.

A farm honesty shop is on site, along with a washing machine, a dryer and a freezer with ice packs for the cool box. A communal outdoor space with seating is also provided. The nearest shop and pub are 2.5 miles away and the farm is rural enough that a vehicle is essential. There is off-road parking for 1 car and an electric car charging point.

Fuel, power and a starter pack for the stove are included, as are bed linen and towels. Pets and smoking are not allowed, and a good housekeeping bond is payable. This pod can be booked together with Dew Pond, and the two sleep four between them. It suits a couple who want a small, self-contained base and are happy to drive for supplies.
