Dew Pond

A working farm a few miles from Blagdon is the setting for Dew Pond, a purpose-built pod that sleeps 2. The layout is single-storey: one double bedroom with an en-suite shower room, and an open-plan living space with a kitchen, a dining table, a sofa and a woodburning stove.

Power is by USB only, because the pod has no mains electric and no 3-pin sockets. Cooking is on a 2-ring hob, with a kettle and a cool box to hand. Fuel, power and a starter pack for the stove are included, along with bed linen and towels.

Outside there is a veranda with a bench, a picnic bench for meals and a communal outdoor space with seating. A washing machine, a dryer and a freezer with ice packs for the cool box are on site, and so is an honesty shop. The nearest shop and pub are 2.5 miles away.

A vehicle is essential given the rural position. Parking is off-road for 1 car, and there is an electric car charging point. Pets and smoking are not allowed, and a good housekeeping bond is payable. Dew Pond can be booked with Lime Kiln, and together the two pods sleep four. It is best for a couple wanting a quiet, compact stay a few miles from Blagdon.
