Laundry Cottage Combe Hay

Laundry Cottage is a stone cottage in Combe Hay, a village near Bath, with a pub a few metres away and the shops and restaurants of Bath five miles off. It sleeps six in three bedrooms and does not take dogs.

Downstairs there is a lounge with a wood burner (an initial supply of logs is provided), a separate snug with a Smart TV and DVD player and a desk, a dining room with an antique table, and a kitchen with an electric oven and hob, a microwave, a dishwasher and a fridge. A utility room holds the washing machine, tumble dryer and an airer, and another room stores wet clothes and bicycles and has a chest freezer. A cloakroom with a WC is around the corner.

Upstairs, one super-king-size bedroom has an en-suite with a roll-top bath and WC, and across the corridor are the twin bedroom and the family bathroom with a bath, a separate shower and a WC. The third bedroom is up a small staircase and has a second super-king-size bed and its own freestanding bath. The cottage has a spiral staircase, so check that it works for everyone in your group.

Outside, a private enclosed courtyard opens off the snug. The main garden is sloped and laid to lawn, with steps up to the top, and the rear terrace has two steamer chairs, a teak table with eight chairs and a large firepit. There are also sheltered patios at the side and the front. Parking is for two cars in front of the garage, with room for one more off the road.

It suits three couples, or a family of six, who like to cook and eat together and are content with a sloped garden and a spiral staircase.
