Primrose Cottage

Primrose Cottage is a detached house on the outskirts of Brendon Hill, near Roadwater and Washford. Roadwater is 4.5 miles away. A pub is 0.1 miles away, though its car park is not to be used: the cottage has its own entrance and driveway. The shop is 3.5 miles away.

The open-plan room combines the kitchen, a dining area that seats eight and a sitting area with a woodburning stove. The ground-floor king-size has an en-suite wet room with a walk-in shower and basin. The other bedrooms are a king-size with a TV, a single and a twin, plus a shower room, and a cloakroom has a basin and WC. The kitchen has an electric oven, a gas hob, a microwave, a fridge-freezer, a dishwasher and a highchair, and two smart TVs and WiFi are provided, although mobile phone coverage is poor. The washing machine and tumble dryer are in a utility shared with the adjoining property. Electric central heating supplements the stove, and fuel, power, a starter pack, bed linen and towels are included.

The front garden has a lawn, a patio and furniture, but it is not enclosed. Off-road parking takes 2 cars.

Two well-behaved dogs and children are welcome; smoking is not allowed. Check-in is from 4pm and check-out by 10am, and a good housekeeping bond is payable.

It suits a family of seven, or friends, wanting a ground-floor bedroom and a dog-friendly base.
