Garden View

Garden View is a thatched cottage on its own land in the lower slopes of the Blackdown Hills, a car ride from the centre of Wellington. Everything is on the ground floor: a kitchen/diner, a sitting room with an electric flame-effect fire, and two bedrooms. One is a king-size whose beds are zip-linked and can be twins on request; the other is a double with an en-suite walk-in shower. A separate shower room has a heated towel rail.

The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, a fridge, a freezer, a dishwasher and a washing machine, and there is a TV and WiFi. Oil central heating, fuel and power, bed linen and towels are included. The garden has a lawn, a gravelled area, furniture and a hot tub, and it is not fully enclosed. Parking is off-road for two cars.

Low ceilings are part of the house's age, and the cottage is connected to the owner's accommodation upstairs, although it is soundproofed. One well-behaved dog is welcome, and the owners also accept horses, with stabling and turnout available. Smoking is not allowed, and changeover day is Friday. A good housekeeping bond is payable. The nearest shop and pub are 2.8 miles away.

It suits two couples or a family who want to be on one level and have a hot tub, and can live with low ceilings.
