Bramble Cottage - Wiveliscombe

Bramble Cottage is a converted barn on a 33-acre estate in the hamlet of Waterrow, near Wiveliscombe and Wellington. The two double bedrooms are on the ground floor, each with an en-suite shower room and WC. The open-plan lounge, kitchen and diner is upstairs, under exposed beams, with a large picture window over the estate. It sleeps four. Children under 15 are not accepted.

The kitchen has an electric oven, an induction hob, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer and a dishwasher. A laundry room with a washing machine and tumble dryer is shared. There is a Smart TV and a DVD player, and a welcome pack is provided.

Outside, a patio has dining furniture, sun loungers and a barbecue, and it is not enclosed. The estate has woodland, pasture, ponds and the River Tone, and fishing rights on the River Tone are available, with a licence required. Dogs have stock-fenced exercise fields. The ponds and small lake are unfenced and the river can become very high and fast in winter. CCTV covers the entrance gate and the way in to the property.

Private parking is for two cars. Two dogs are welcome, with additional charges. The shop is 1.5 miles away, the pub one mile and the beach 13 miles. Arrival is from 16:00 and departure before 10:00.

It suits two couples or two adults with dogs who want room to walk, and not a family with young children.
