Fountain Barn

Fountain Barn is a barn conversion at Dulcote on the southern slopes of the Mendip Hills, in the grounds of the owner's home, with Wells and its cathedral 1.5 miles away. It sleeps four. The open-plan lounge, kitchen and dining room has a vaulted ceiling with exposed beams, patio doors to the garden, a Smart TV and a woodburner, with the first basket of logs included.

The larger bedroom has a super-king-size bed that can be made up as a twin on request, and the open-plan living area can also be reached through it. The second bedroom has a king-size bed looking onto the garden, and a cot can be set up there on request. The two bedrooms share the one shower room, off the entrance hall. A highchair is also available.

The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, a microwave, a washing machine, a dishwasher and a fridge with a small freezer. Outside, the enclosed garden has a patio with furniture and a barbecue. Parking is off-road, unrestricted and ample, and there is secure storage for bicycles and motorbikes opposite. Shops and pubs are within a mile.

One dog is allowed, with additional charges possible. Arrival is from 15:30 and departure is before 10:00. It suits two couples or a family with one shared shower room and a dog, who want a base for Wells and Glastonbury.
