Footpaths start at the door of this stone-built cottage on a working farm in West Pennard, near Sticklinch. Glastonbury is three miles away and Wells eight. You enter through a utility and boot room, which has a washing machine, a tumble dryer and a ground-floor shower room, and a picture window facing Glastonbury Tor.

Beyond it is a roomy open-plan lounge, kitchen and dining area with a Smart TV, French doors to the garden, and an electric oven and hob, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer and a dishwasher. Upstairs, two bedrooms sit under apex ceilings with exposed beams, and both have an en-suite with a shower over the bath. One is a double with a TV. The other has twin beds and a 3ft bunk bed, which suits children.

The courtyard garden is fully enclosed and has seating and a private hot tub. Guests can also use the shared tennis court, and a small honesty shop on the farm sells essentials, toys and keepsakes. Parking is private and ample. A pub is half a mile from the cottage, with more pubs, shops and cafes within four miles, and wellness treatments are available on site by separate arrangement.

Up to three dogs can stay, and extra charges may apply. Check-in is from 16:00 and check-out before 10:00. It suits a family or friends travelling with dogs who want a hot tub and an enclosed garden on a farm.
