Glastonbury Carnival is the last night of the Somerset Guy Fawkes circuit, on Saturday 21 November 2026. The illuminated procession sets off at 6.45pm. The carnival is over 170 years old, though the tar barrels and flame torches of its early days have long gone.
What to expect
The show is paid for by donations from the crowd. Glastonbury Chilkwell Carnival needs £30,000 each year and asks every spectator to give £1 or more, in cash, by card or by scanning a QR code.
