Vine Cottage

Vine Cottage is a Grade II listed house in Dunster, inside Exmoor National Park. The sitting room is on the left of the hallway, with two sofas facing a wood burner. The kitchen has an adjoining dining room, and an external utility room holds the washing machine and freezer. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge and dishwasher.

Both bedrooms are upstairs and look over Dunster Church and Castle: one is a double and the other a small double, and the main bedroom has a separate dressing room. The bathroom has a bath with a shower over it and a hand-held shower. The maximum party is either two adults and two children, or three adults. Children under five are not accepted, apart from babes in arms. A travel cot and highchair can be requested, though the cot linen is not supplied. Doorways in the house are low, so take care.

Dogs and other pets are not allowed, and the cottage is non-smoking. The front garden is an enclosed lawn. Parking is roadside, about 20 metres away, on a first come, first served basis. The shop is 0.2 miles away, the pub 0.1 miles, and Dunster beach 1.8 miles. Gas central heating is on, and fuel, power, bed linen and towels are included. A good-housekeeping bond is payable on booking.

It suits a couple, or a family of up to four with children aged five and over, who want a historic house within walking distance of the village.
