Mulberry Cottage - Somerset

Mulberry Cottage is at Ellicombe, near Minehead, a short distance from Dunster. Shops are 1 mile away, the beach is 1.5 miles off, and a pub is within walking distance. Two cars can park off the road.

The ground-floor living space is open plan, with a lounge, a kitchen and a dining area. Beams date from the mid-19th century, and a stained-glass window sits in the lounge. A stable door can stand open in summer. There is a TV and DVD player, and the kitchen has an electric oven and hob, a microwave and a fridge. A staircase leads up to the two bedrooms under the eaves, one double and one twin, which share the family shower room. A stairgate is available.

The utility room next to the cottage is shared with the owners and has a washing machine, a tumble dryer and a freezer compartment. Bikes can be stored securely there.

Guests have exclusive use of the lawned garden at the front, which has seating and sits at the end of a private quiet drive. An enclosed paved area at the side has an outdoor hose for washing muddy boots or dogs. The shared rear garden overlooks open countryside, with distant views to the sea at Blue Anchor Bay, and the owners keep a tortoise there. Two dogs are welcome, and additional charges may apply. The cottage suits a couple, or two couples or a small family, who want secure storage for bikes.
