Tus Nua Cottage

Tús Nua is an eco-friendly detached house in a small residential cul-de-sac in Carhampton, a village near Dunster and four miles from Minehead. Solar panels sit on the front, and heating is electric with wall heaters and a heat recovery ventilation system.

Downstairs, the kitchen with dining area has an electric oven and hob, a microwave, a fridge/freezer, a washing machine and a dishwasher. The sitting room looks over the lawned garden through French doors. Upstairs are three bedrooms: two king-size rooms and one with adult bunks. There is a family bathroom with a bath and shower over, and a WC and basin on the ground floor. Bed linen, towels, fuel and power are included, and a TV, DVD player, superfast broadband WiFi, a Bluetooth speaker and a selection of games and DVDs are provided.

The gardens run to the front and rear, with a climbing frame, swings and a slide, a barbecue and a fire bowl. The rear garden is lockable, and a secure shed with a ground anchor takes bikes, with a hose to wash them down. Parking is off-road for 2 cars. The beach is 2 miles away. A full-size cot, a travel cot, highchairs and stairgates are available.

No pets and no smoking, and a good housekeeping bond is payable. Landline calls can be received. Best for a family with young children, or friends who want three bedrooms and garden space close to the Somerset coast.
