The Old Cottage

The Old Cottage sleeps four, in a double bedroom and a twin whose beds can be zip-linked into a super king-size double on request. It is a Grade II listed terraced house in the middle of Hutton, near Weston-super-Mare, in a village that appears in the Domesday Book.

Some rules come before the details. Stays must be at least three nights, though two-night stays can be asked about before booking. Check-in is from 5pm and check-out by 10am. No pets and no smoking.

The layout is a kitchen with a dining area and a sitting room. The one bathroom is on the ground floor, with a bath, a shower over it, a basin and a WC. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, a microwave, a fridge/freezer, a dishwasher and a washer/dryer. Gas central heating is supplemented by underfloor heating, and there is a TV with Freeview and WiFi. Fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included.

Outside, the front patio has private seating and a barbecue. Guests can also use an indoor area with a table tennis table, shared with the old coach house next door. A pub is five minutes away on foot and the beach is 2.5 miles off. Parking is off-road and takes one car.

It suits two couples or friends who want a pub close by and a table tennis table for the evenings.
