The Loft at Lucott House

The Loft at Lucott House is a one-bedroom annexe on the first floor, set in open countryside about three-quarters of a mile from Bath. External wooden steps lead up to a seating area at the top and then in through the door, so everything here is reached by climbing them.

Inside, one open-plan room holds the kitchen, a dining table and a two-seater sofa facing the Smart TV. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, a microwave, a fridge and a dishwasher, and there is a Bluetooth sound system and WiFi. The bedroom has a king-size bed and opens onto a tiled shower room with a walk-in shower, basin and WC. Fuel and power, bed linen and towels are all included in the rent.

Downstairs, a patio with furniture looks across the owner's gardens, and one car can park off the road. Footpaths start from the doorstep. The nearest shop and pub are about 3 miles away, so it is worth planning food shopping before you arrive.

No children and no pets are accepted, and smoking is not allowed. It suits a couple who want a quiet base close to Bath and are comfortable with a flight of outside steps.
