Adults-only retreat for two with a private garden

The Larder is a one-bedroom retreat in West Compton, near Shepton Mallet, in a rural setting between Wells and Glastonbury. It is booked for two adults only: no children or babies, and no dogs. The ground floor is one open-plan lounge, kitchen and dining room with French doors opening to the garden. A contemporary electric fire and a Smart TV make up the sitting area, and the lounge looks onto the garden.

The kitchen has an electric hob and oven, a microwave, a fridge with an ice compartment, a dishwasher and a Dolce Gusto coffee machine. Upstairs is the king-size bedroom, with an en-suite bathroom containing a shower over the bath and a WC.

Outside is a private, secluded garden with a patio, a table and chairs and sun loungers. Off-road parking for one car is in front of the property. The shop is 1 mile away and the pub is within a mile. Wells, known for its cathedral and Bishops Palace, and Glastonbury, with its Tor and abbey ruins, lie on either side of the cottage. Check-in is from 4pm and departure is before 10am. The Larder suits a couple who want a quiet break for two without children or a dog.
