Shepherd hut with wood burner and pizza oven, sleeps 2

The Fold is a shepherd hut for two in the grounds of a 17th-century farmhouse in Batheaston, near Bath, which is about 3 miles away. Little Solsbury Hill, an Iron Age hill fort, can be walked up straight from the property, and walkers and cyclists can use the Kennet and Avon Canal towpath or cross the Batheaston Toll Bridge. A pub and a shop are within a mile.

You reach the hut by walking up steps from the car park, and there are more steps up to the stable door. Inside, the kitchenette is straight ahead, with a gas oven, a fridge and a kettle that sits on top of the wood burner. The shower room with a WC is to the left of the kitchen area. The wood burner is just inside the door, and logs are included. The double bed, 6ft long, is on the right as you enter.

Outside, there is a large garden that is not enclosed, with outdoor seating, furniture and a pizza oven. Private parking for two cars is on site. Internet access is included. Dogs are not allowed. It suits a couple or one traveller who like a walk from the door and an evening by a wood burner.
