Swallows Nest - Sand Bay Farm

Swallows Nest is a conversion of a traditional stone barn that once housed working farm horses. It stands in the grounds of the owners' farm at Sand Bay, in Kewstoke, near Weston-super-Mare.

The kitchen and diner looks over the paddock and has an electric oven, an induction hob, a microwave, a dishwasher, a fridge-freezer and a washing machine. The lounge has a vaulted ceiling, a Smart TV and French doors to the patio. The king-size bedroom and the shower room, with a rainfall shower and a Bluetooth mirror, are on the ground floor. Stairs from the lounge lead to a second double bedroom built into the eaves, with low sloping ceilings, which can take one extra guest for an additional charge. Underfloor heating runs throughout.

The private patio has outside seating and looks onto an unfenced wildlife pond and a paddock where guests are welcome to walk. Because of the pond, toddlers and children under 12 are not accepted, though babes in arms are welcome. Parking is off-road for 2 cars, and the beach, village shop and pub are all within 1 mile. Dogs are not allowed. Arrival is from 15:30 and departure before 10:00.

Sand Bay has a sandy beach three miles long with dunes, and the National Trust's Sand Point is half a mile away, with views over the Bristol Channel. Weston-super-Mare is 4 miles away and Cheddar Gorge 15 miles.

It suits a couple who want a quiet stay without dogs or young children.
