Sunnyside

Sunnyside is a detached converted barn in the grounds of the owners' home in Staple Fitzpaine, a conservation village at the foot of the Blackdown Hills. Ilminster is a nearby town, and the village pub is 400 yards away. The shop is 4 miles off, so you will want a car.

Everything is on the ground floor. The open-plan living area has a high raftered ceiling, wooden floors and full-height picture windows with patio doors. The kitchen/diner has an electric oven and hob, a fridge and a microwave, and the lounge also holds a 4ft convertible sofa, and there is one double bedroom. The shower room has a walk-in shower, a WC and a basin. The barn sleeps 3. There is electric heating, a TV with DVD player and WiFi, and bed linen and towels are included at no charge.

Outside, the barn has its own enclosed patio and garden, and the owners welcome guests to use one and a half acres of gardens, woodland, a summer house and a stream. Adjoining fields are open to walk. Parking is off the road for one car.

One pet is accepted, with a charge per pet for each week or short break, and smoking is not allowed. Short breaks are not available. A heating supplement applies to holidays starting between 16 September and 27 May.

It suits a couple, or a couple with a dog, wanting a secluded barn with room to roam in the grounds.
