Field View

Field View is a thatched stone cottage attached to the owner's house in Curland, in Somerset, with Taunton 7 miles away. It has its own entrance and its own enclosed garden with seating. Market towns in reach include Ilminster, Chard and Honiton.

The bed sits in the lounge: a super-king-size bed that can be set up as a twin on request, in a room with an inglenook fireplace, low beams and original tiled floors, plus a window seat. A kitchen/diner has an electric range oven and hob, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer and a dishwasher. The bathroom has a bath with a shower over and a heated towel rail. The cottage has a TV, WiFi and oil central heating, and fuel, power, bed linen and towels are included.

Stays need a minimum of 4 nights, and children under 12, including infants, cannot be accommodated. One well-behaved pet is welcome and smoking is not allowed. Inside is one level with no stairs, but there is a step in through the outside door and a step from the kitchen to the lounge, and the gravel outside may not suit anyone with limited mobility. The pub is 1.7 miles away and the shop 3.8 miles, so you will want a car; one can park off the road.

It suits a couple, perhaps with a pet, who want a self-contained thatched cottage and a garden to themselves.
