Stable Cottage

Two well-behaved pets are welcome at Stable Cottage, which keeps an enclosed grass paddock for dogs and has walks and footpaths for them to roam. The cottage is one of four homes on ten acres near Shipham, where horses graze and are exercised in the riding arena.

This former stable has both bedrooms on the ground floor: a king-size with its own en-suite shower, basin and WC, and a twin, so it sleeps four. A wet room with a shower, basin and WC and a utility room complete the layout, and the open-plan living room holds the kitchen, a dining area and a sitting area.

Two enclosed patio areas with furniture, one at the front and one at the back, give you somewhere to sit out, though there is one step to the back patio. Parking is off the road for two cars.

The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, a microwave, a toaster, a kettle, a dishwasher and a washing machine. Heating is oil-fired central heating, and the Smart TV comes with free Netflix, alongside WiFi. A travel cot is available. Bookings start on a Saturday. The shop is 0.4 miles away and the pub 0.2 miles. Smoking is not allowed, and a good housekeeping bond is payable.

It suits two couples, or a couple with a pet or two, who want the whole stay on one floor.
