Somerset Farm Escape

Somerset Farm Escape is a single-storey lodge on 50 acres of private farmland near Langport, about 1.5 miles from the town; the shops and pubs are the same distance. Three external steps lead up to the front door.

The open-plan lounge, kitchen and dining area has two sets of French doors out to an enclosed decked terrace that looks over a paddock. The kitchen has an electric oven, a gas hob, a microwave, a dishwasher and a fridge/freezer, and a utility room has a washing machine. There are two bedrooms, a double with its own en-suite shower room and a twin, plus a family bathroom with a shower over the bath. The lodge sleeps 4. A travel cot and highchair are provided.

Outside is a private lawn and patio, along with a covered hot tub that is private to the lodge. There is a barbecue and seating, and parking for 3 cars. The owner runs guided farm tours where children can help feed the animals. A dog kennels down the road can be heard when the wind blows towards the lodge, CCTV runs around the farm and driveway but not around the lodge, and dogs are not allowed. Check-in is from 16:00 and check-out before 10:00. It suits a family of four who like a hot tub and farm surroundings.
