Pear Tree Lodge

Pear Tree Lodge is a treehouse-style property in the hamlet of Combe, near Langport, with room for 4 guests. The ground floor is a studio-style layout: a double bed, a kitchen, a dining table and a sitting area built around a woodburning stove, with a shower room that has a walk-in shower, a basin and a heated towel rail. There is a balcony with furniture.

The second sleeping space is a mezzanine twin on the first floor, with zip-and-link beds that can be made up as a super-king on request. It is reached by a very steep ladder with limited headroom and is best suited to children, so adults will usually be happiest in the ground-floor double.

Parking is off-road for 2 cars, but it is an 80 metre walk up the garden from the parking space to the door, and the exterior has step access. The garden area is not fully enclosed and is shared with the owner and their dog. One well-behaved dog is welcome. Fuel and power, bed linen and towels are all included in the rent, a good-housekeeping bond is payable, smoking is not allowed and one-night bookings are not accepted. A shop is 1 mile away and a pub 1.2 miles.

It suits a couple, or a pair of adults with children who can manage the ladder, and one dog. A second lodge on the same site, Ref. 1144768, can be booked alongside it for up to six guests in total.
