Red Deer Cottage

Red Deer Cottage is a barn conversion 1.1 miles from Wheddon Cross, in Exmoor National Park. The village has a pub and a general store, and the shop and pub are 1.2 miles away. Walkers can head for Dunkery Beacon and Webbers Post, and cyclists for Blagdon Wood.

The living space is open plan, with the kitchen, dining table and sitting area together. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, a microwave, a fridge/freezer and a dishwasher. There is a TV with Freeview and WiFi, oil central heating, and fuel, power, bed linen and towels are included.

Three bedrooms sleep six. The king-size has an en-suite bath with a shower over and opens onto a balcony. A double and a bathroom are upstairs, and a twin and a shower room with a walk-in shower are on the ground floor. A cot is available.

Outside are a lawned garden, a patio with seating and an open pond at the edge of the garden. The garden is not fully enclosed, so think about that with young children or dogs. Parking is off-road for 2 cars. Two well-behaved pets are welcome. Guests share a coin-operated washing machine and tumble dryer in the Quarme laundry room, which also has a barbecue. A refundable good housekeeping bond is payable, and smoking is not allowed.

It suits a family or three couples who want a bathroom each and a bedroom downstairs.
