Restored cottage for 6 at Wheddon Cross, 2 dogs, 3 car spaces

Bailiffs Cottage is a restored cottage for six at Wheddon Cross, approached over a small ford. The water comes from the farm's own spring, so the supply is private.

Underfloor heating runs through the house. The lounge has a wood burner, with the first basket of logs included, and a Smart TV, and a snug leads off the inner hall beside a separate ground-floor WC. The kitchen-diner has an electric oven and hob, a microwave, a fridge-freezer and a dishwasher. A couple of steps down is a utility and boot room with a washing machine and a tumble dryer.

Upstairs are three bedrooms: a king-size with an en-suite shower and a separate en-suite WC, a double, and a twin zip-and-link that can be made up as a super king-size on request. The bathroom has a roll-top bath and a WC.

The patio has seating, and stone steps lead down to the fenced garden, which borders a stream. Take care with children and dogs near the streams and the pond. A gas barbecue and an outdoor shower for dogs and boots are provided, and the boot room has a separate door. Parking is off-road for 3 cars at the front. Two dogs are allowed, with additional charges that may apply. The shop and pub are 2 miles away. Arrival is from 17:30 and departure before 10:00. It suits a family or a group of friends travelling with dogs.
