Hedgehog Cottage

Hedgehog Cottage is a two-bedroom house on the outskirts of Wheddon Cross, inside Exmoor National Park, and one well-behaved pet is welcome. There is a lawned garden and parking at the property. The shop and pub are 1.2 miles away; in the village itself you will find a petrol station with a convenience store, an all-weather court and the Rest & Be Thankful Inn.

Inside, there is a step up into the kitchen, so take care. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, a microwave and a dishwasher, and the fridge and freezer are under the stairs. A dining table seats four, and the sitting room has a woodburning stove and a TV.

The first floor holds a bathroom with a bath and a shower over it, plus a king-size bedroom and a twin, each with storage space. A cot and a highchair are available. WiFi is provided, heating is oil-fired central heating backed up by the stove, and fuel, power, a starter pack for the stove, bed linen and towels are all in the rent.

Laundry is communal: the shared room at Quarme has a coin-operated washing machine and tumble drier, along with a barbecue and utensils. A refundable good housekeeping bond is payable, and smoking is not allowed.

It suits a couple or a family of four travelling with a pet, who want a stove to sit beside.
