Noflash Malpal

Noflash Malpal is a one-bedroom holiday home in Bishop Sutton, on the edge of Chew Valley Lake, with a footpath to the water 300 metres away. The bedroom is on the ground floor: a super-king-size bed that zips and links, and can be set up as a twin on request, with an en-suite walk-in shower, basin, heated towel rail and WC. It sleeps two.

The outdoor space is the main draw. The enclosed front patio has furniture and a barbecue, and there is a hot tub for your own use and a fire pit. An outside area is set aside for smoking; smoking indoors is not allowed. A secure bike store is on site, and an electric car charger sits alongside the private driveway parking.

Inside, the kitchen/diner has an oven, hob, dishwasher, fridge, microwave, a coffee machine and filtered drinking water, with a 42-inch smart TV and Wi-Fi for the evenings. Heat comes from air source heat pumps, with underfloor heating throughout, and fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included.

Two adult, well-behaved dogs are welcome; cats are not accepted, and other pets need to be requested. Bookings run on set patterns: changeovers happen on Mondays or Fridays only, and stays are 3, 4 or 7 nights. A good-housekeeping bond is payable. The village shop and pub are each 0.4 miles away. It suits a couple who want a hot tub and a dog-friendly base with the bedroom on the ground floor.
