Little Herriotts

Little Herriotts is a single-storey, one-bedroom cottage near Bishop Sutton, set in the gated grounds of the main house with Chew Valley Lake just 0.1 miles away. It sleeps two, and birdwatchers, cyclists, fishermen and walkers are the guests it is aimed at. Herriotts Mill Pool is a ten-minute walk.

The living area is open-plan, with a kitchen, a breakfast bar for two and a sofa facing the TV. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, a microwave, kettle and toaster. The bedroom has a king-size bed, and the shower room has a walk-in shower, basin and WC. Electric central heating is used, and fuel, power, bed linen and towels are included.

Outside there is a gravelled area with furniture; it is not enclosed. Off-road parking takes two cars. The Chew Valley Ringing Station is next door, where birds are monitored through the year. WiFi is provided but the connection can be slightly unreliable at times.

Pets are not accepted, and smoking is not allowed. A good-housekeeping bond is payable. The shop is 0.5 miles away and the pub 1.1 miles. The Red Lion in Bishop Sutton is a pub serving food, and the Crown Inn is a two-minute drive away. It suits a couple who want a quiet, single-storey base for lakeside walks and birdwatching.
