Marion's Barn

Marion's Barn is a detached barn conversion at Henton, a few miles outside Wells and near Wookey. It looks out over the Mendip Hills and the Somerset Levels, and stands on five acres of farmland with an orchard and a stream. The pub is 1.5 miles away and the shop 3 miles.

The ground floor has two living spaces: a lounge with tiled flooring and a TV/DVD, and a garden room facing the terrace. The kitchen/diner has a double electric oven and hob, a fridge/freezer and a dishwasher, with a table for at least six. The utility room has a washing machine and a microwave. A twin bedroom with an en-suite wet room and WC is also on this floor, with a separate ground-floor WC. Underfloor heating is fitted, and heating and electricity are included.

Upstairs are a king-size bedroom with an en-suite shower room and a Juliet balcony, and a second twin room. The main bathroom has a bath, a shower cubicle and a WC. A second lounge on this floor holds the books, games and films.

Both the front and the rear garden are enclosed. The rear has decking, furniture and a barbecue, and the orchard leads to a pond and a fenced stream. Children must be supervised at all times near the pond, and the stream needs care too. Parking has space for several cars. No dogs are allowed. Check-in is from 16:00. It suits a family or a group of friends of up to six who want space and a rural setting.
