Lookout Retreat

Lookout Retreat is an apartment in Blue Anchor, a seaside village near Minehead, with Carhampton nearby. It occupies an elevated position in the grounds of the owner's large Edwardian house, and has been fully refurbished. Guests use their own front door at the side of the house and climb the stairs to the living rooms.

Every room except the bathroom looks over the bay, the hills and the sea. The lounge has a flame-effect electric fire, a Smart TV and a DVD player, and there is a separate dining room. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, a microwave, a dishwasher, a fridge with an ice compartment and a washing machine.

The bedroom has a super-king-size zip-and-link bed, which can be made up as a twin on request, and looks over the garden and out to sea. The bathroom is compact, with a shower over the bath and a WC. Outside, a table and chairs are set out in the shared landscaped gardens. Private allocated parking is for one car.

The beach, the shops and a restaurant are all within walking distance. Babies and children are not accepted, and dogs are not allowed. Check-in is from 17:00 and check-out is before 10:00. It suits a couple who want sea views and are happy to climb a flight of stairs.
